Mad Old Priest

Last year I spent a silly amount of time playing Rogue Trader, the CRPG by Owlcat.
After finishing my iconoclast dashing rogue good boi run, I decided to go for something more.... 40k appropriate.
So I had in mind going for a heavily augmented old mad Zealot, but found that all the portraits, while magnificently done by my ex-colleague Valeryi Vegera, were lacking in the old and cackling mad department.
So I set to do my own! and this is the result of me attempting to replicate the quality and style.
meet Uriel Von Valancius, Archdeacon, the kind that flames first and preaches later.

Unrelated note but I've been on a sort of "gittin gud" journey once again, after many years of artistic stagnation, and this piece is the first to show some of the results of this training I've been going through.
Gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it!
